After 10,000 miles of driving, 20+ track days, and extensive testing at the Nurburgring we've concluded that this is the best spring rate setup for these cars.
We use slightly different spring rates for the 981 and 718 GT4 due to their differences in overall mass. However, the rates can also be customized depending on the customer’s use case—whether it's a Clubsport build or a fully stripped track car.
Why Stiffer Springs?
Through testing various spring rates, we found that our cars exhibited significantly less chassis yaw versus damper movement under high-load conditions—primarily during high-speed cornering and heavy braking.
All testing was carried out using track-oriented tyres such as the Nankang CRS, Yokohama AD09/52, and Vitour Tempesta P1 in various sizes. In these setups, the Porsche Cayman GT4 was able to generate up to 1.7G of lateral force!
What Does This Do?
By increasing the spring rate, we've been able to better control chassis yaw under high-load conditions. This results in greater driver confidence by reducing body roll and minimizing front-to-rear load transfer during heavy braking—an issue that can often cause nervousness when driving at the limit.
Customer Feedback
Our customers have reported that, with the spring kit fitted, their GT4s feel more compliant on the road. This is largely due to the car bobbing and bouncing less under compression and riding the bump stops less often, as it now sits higher in its suspension travel.
